ANNOUNCED EXTENSIONS LA PAZ-FOZ DE IGUAZU:
Amazonas Airlines is NOW flying daily LPB/VVI/ASU with overland connection to FOZ DE IGUAZU and continued flight to Montevideo. Amaszonas also announced to start Flying VVI/FOZ before the end of this year!

LA PAZ AIRPORT “EL ALTO” HAS BEEN COMPLETELY REFASHIONED:
Passengers can now feel more comfortable, counting with more space and facilities for checking in their flights at the new counters. Restaurants, coffee shops, Wi-Fi, medical support, duty free, currency exchange in the international arrivals hall, several ATM machines, and mechanic stairs, proves that BOLIVIA´s touristic infrastructure is growing in accordance to the obvious increase of volume of passengers to Bolivia.
THE NEW “ALCANTARI” AIRPORT IN SUCRE:
With a runway of 3.600 meters length and width of 150 meters built on a surface of 20.000 sq. meters- will be soon inaugurated after the official approval to the final technical inspection made end of May. The new airport will be able to operate 24 hours and it is located at 25 kilometers from downtown at 35 minutes’ drive. The “Alcantari” Airport will overcome the old Airport operational difficulties.
LAKE TITICACA’S GREAT DECONTAMINATION PLAN:
During one month, the small side of our Sacred Lake Titicaca took a green color which worried not only the indigenous around the Lake, but also us, since the Lake looked strangely hurt. Fortunately, the Bolivian Government -through the Ministry of Environment of Boliviatogether with a specialized technical committee, acted quickly, cleaning the affected areas. Now beautiful Lake Titicaca has taken again its gorgeous turquoise blue. But in order to avoid future problems, a sewage system will be built and the work has started.
THE “CHOLITAS” FASHION:
is inspiring the most famous designers such as Christian Dior, when in his winter collection several models paraded with creations based on typical ethnic-chic style costume of the “Cholita La Paz”, a legacy of the Spanish outfit in colonial times. Vogue magazine described the trend as a cultural fusion in which the key style is "who dares with combinations of patterns, excessive accessories and an explosion as attractive as casual color.
